Scott is the first company to go out and produce a bike that sits on less than a 1,000 gram frame. So you know when they set a goal they are going to meet it. This bike has been built to be the leader in aerodynamics with emphasis on keeping the bike as light as possible.
The frame is produced with their IMP5 technology that makes the head tube, down tube and seat tube into one piece. Without the need for joints they are able to keep the weight down. The seat post clamp comes adjustable so you move it from a 76% seat angle all the way to 78%.
For aerodynamics the design looks simple but it actually is far more complex. You will notice that the head tube has been built to channel all of the airflow around the frame giving you maximum ability to eliminate wind drag.
With this light of a frame they came up with Speedskeg technology which provides an oversized bottom bracket that brings back the stiffness to the bike. You will also notice that the rear brake is hidden underneath the seat.
When looking for the most technological advanced bike on the market you can go no wrong with the Scott Plasma Limited 2010.
